what, you guys need more than an update every 3 months???

apparently, so do i.

i will get better. since daylight savings time is here, i get an extra hour of the day, so i will try to use that time to keep everyone who doesnt have anything better to do than check this thing out updated on my progress towards the Crossfit 2010 Games.

step 1 has been completed. i finished 16th overall in the central/south texas sectional last weekend out of ~130 competitors.

ashley finished 15th overall in the woman’s division. it was a great weekend.

the regional competition is may29-30 @ hell’s half acre in fort worth. 60 men, 60 women, competing for 6 spots each to the games in aromas, ca.

12.15.2009 – A New Beginning

So…

I finally got linked up with the CFTX main site, i figured i better start updating this bad boy. That way all of my followers (thanks mom and Ash) can keep track of me.

On a serious, okay not really that serious, please use this as a training tool. That is why i am taking the time to post, i need help achieving my goals, just like you.

Finally decided to go to the doctor today to check on my Achilles tendon on my left foot. more than likely, it is just a case of needing to stretch more than never. i do have some ‘internal’ ankle issues that require a CT scan in January. hopefully, nothing bad enough to keep me out of sectionals in March.

Overall, i have achieved good success with the Paleo diet since November 2. Down 16 pounds and 2% body fat ain’t bad for a month 🙂

Jumped off the wagon today, will try to catch back up to it tomorrow.

Really didnt ‘feel’ it today. think that i might need to get a little more calories in during the day.

Felt really weak during the presses, but i did manage 5 consecutive HSPU on each round.

Sit-Ups are still a major weakness, and the double-unders could use some work, also.

I only missed 1 or 2 in each round, but they were the 1-2-1-2 variety, not consecutive double-unders.

Box jumps were all step-ups. I would like to believe it was due to the fact that i was wearing my Vibram Five-Fingers, and it just hurts to do double-unders with them, and i am still having pain in my left achilles-tendon. However, it was probably most attributed to me just being dead-tired when i got to the box jumps.
